Japanese Anime Cartoon

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

When we, as Japanese hear the term, Japanese Anime Cartoon, we get this funny feeling. Perhaps, it is the cartoon part that is not wrapping the anime part in the right way. Since we only used the terms like Manga and Anime, perhaps the new term, Cartoon, is not something we are used to.However, there are so many factors as to why this term give us this special feelings.

I know that this is just an expression that is different, not the subject itself, but when you say Japanese Cartoon, it sounds less animated in the sense, which I have to apologize if that offend someone. On the contrary, if you say Japanese Animation, that could mean, it is created in a rich form of art. That is probably not an impression that more of Americans or Europeans are getting toward Japanese Animation Cartoons.

By definitions, the difference between Anime and Cartoon are as follows. The anime, coming from animation, points out to all the Japanese animations as oppose to Cartoon being the topical satire comics.

Therefore, there are still Cartoons out there that are also Japanese Anime, and I suppose we call them Japanese Anime Cartoons. So, I should not even make any difference in that matter, but that is just a definition. The real feeling towards those words in terminology is somewhat different from Japanese perspective.

Anime and Cartoon are two separate things. I know this sounds a little strange for some people who are not used to the cultural differences. But, the little difference like this could make a huge difference in the large picture.

I am sure there are terms in English that are so close but they are in slightly in different meanings. So for instance, if Dragon Ball is playing on Cartoon Network, it looks and sounds kind of funny. However, something like PowerPuffGirls being Cartoon is more suitable from our perspective.

Japan's anime like Inuyasha or Bleach are the great unleashed animation cartoons. This is due to the fact that they are not only good and fun to read comics, but sometimes, they can represent our Japanese culture in further degree and can be an animation after all.

I know some people in the states do not understand what I am talking about, but those of you who are getting what I mean, please keep in mind that next time you are getting pictures, images, or wallpapers of characters from galleries, Japanese seldom refer them to as Japanese Anime Cartoon. We prefer to use the term, Japanese Anime, Manga, or Animations. Think of the term Cartoon only applies to the animation made by non-Japanese creators. Well, at the end, what we call them does not really matter, but the quality of the Anime or Cartoon is what counts.

3D Animation Movie Maker - The Evolution of Making Animations at Home

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

I guess a lot of people would like to make their own movies. By that I mean to go beyond editing together movie clips taken while on holiday, to making movies which tell a story. In most cases professional actors are expensive and most friends don't make good actors. This is why making a 3D animation movie is a satisfying low cost alternative.

I remember a holiday movie my father made in the 1950s. It had an animated title filmed, like the rest of the movie on 8mm celluloid film. When I asked him about it, he told me he had put his camera in a clamp pointing at the floor. He then created the first letter of the title using a piece of string and filmed it for a couple of seconds, then he created the second letter and so on. It was several days later, when the film came back from the developing laboratory that he discovered that his desk lamp had not really been adequate to illuminate his work properly.

Then along came computers. It took a while before computers got good at graphics, even stationary ones. But of course they did eventually get good, not only at rendering still scenes, but also animations. Unfortunately Hollywood studios being able to afford high powered hardware and software did not make it accessible to the amateur movie maker.

The high price of professional 3D animation software led to the concept of Machinima. In Machinima inexpensive computer games are used to record 3D animated movie clips. Some computer games have a camera or record function built into them, and for others which do not, there are additional utilities such as Fraps, which can be used for recording the game action.

Popular Machinima games include Quake, Unreal Tournament and SIMS 2. These games come with the ability to design your own sets and characters, either as part of the main game itself or using utilities, which are provided with the game. Admittedly getting exactly the movie clips you want from these games can be challenging. I never did find out how to part characters in Unreal Tournament or Quake from their guns, which meant unless you wanted to make a shoot 'em up movie, they were not ideal. No doubt obstacles like this could be overcome, but it seemed you could not get very far unless you were prepared to get immersed in scripting language.

Of the three games I have mentioned, SIMS 2, is probably the easiest to use for making Machinima, except that the characters, or in our case actors, tend to have minds of their own. So your movie star may wander off part way through filming, or someone else you don't recognize, might suddenly turn up and disrupt the scene you are shooting. With SIMS 2 you might even find your movie set spontaneously combusting during filming if you forgot to buy fire insurance. Perhaps this is like movie making in real life, but I would prefer not to have to put up with all of these uncertainties.

So you may wonder why no one has produced a budget software product, specifically for the purpose of making 3D animations at home. In fact Microsoft did exactly that in the mid 1990s with a product called 3D Movie Maker, which they targeted at the kids market. However the product was designed for early PCs, so it was pretty basic, on most home PCs it was slow, and it was soon discontinued.

Recently there has been recognition of this unfulfilled need. Reallusion in particular, has developed a 3D animation movie maker called iClone. This software is pretty much a dream come true for anyone who wants to tell a story using 3D animation. In its basic form it costs about the same as a new top end computer game, while the more advanced and more useful Pro version is still very reasonable.

Although you could make a whole movie in iClone, I find it is best to use it to construct a series of 3D animation movie clips and to then edit them together using Microsoft Movie Maker, which comes as part of Windows, or using a more advanced home movie editing suite such as Pinnacle Studio.

Other key points to note about iClone are that if you want to get up and running very quickly, there is a good library of actors, scenes and props, which you can purchase to add to the collection, which comes with the program itself. On the other hand if you are short of cash and prefer to build everything yourself and have plenty of time to spare, you can do that too using the tools included in the software.

One optional utility, which I recommend purchasing bundled with the iClone, is Reallusion's 3DXchange. This allows you to import content from other sources, including Google 3D Warehouse, which is a fantastic resource full of free models of buildings and other props, to enhance your 3D animations.

I find it amazing to think that with a budget of less than ,000 I can now purchase a PC and the software required to make 3D animation movies, when twenty years ago I would have needed $ millions for less capable facilities.

Pets and Poisonous Plants, Fruits and Veggies

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Many of these plants are in households now or will be sometime in the future. Just because they are in this list doesn't mean you should get rid of them. Most of these plants must be ingested to cause problems, but as we all know our pets' behavior can be unpredictable. Whether you actually remove these plants from your home and yard are up to you, but watch your pets around them. Be especially diligent about cleaning up any plant debris like fallen leaves, flowers or trimmings.

Here are just a few common plants to watch your pets around:

Grapes and Raisin These tasty treats to humans but deadly to dogs have been in the news this past year and even making the rounds of the internet. It is not know why they are so toxic to dogs so keep them away from Fido. They may cause diarrhea, vomiting and in some cases kidney failure.

Lilies These beauties arrive in many lovely floral arrangements. They are only a danger if eaten so keep kitties away or place them out of reach. Ingesting even small amounts can cause kidney damage in cats. Dogs can also get sick leading to vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, depression of the central nervous system, and, in rare cases, death.

Lantana This tough low-growing plant produces little green berries after it flowers. It is the berries that are poisonous to pets.

Macadamia nuts MMMM, one of my favorite nuts but definitely not so good for my pooch, Annie. Just a small handful of these nuts will upset the dog's digestive tract and muscles, setting off weakness and paralysis. Good news here, these symptoms last about 48 hours and will go away whether or not you see a vet.

Oleanders This may be one of the well-known poisonous plants in Arizona and California but it bears mentioning again. Humans are told to wear gloves and long sleeves when trimming and cleaning around oleanders because it can cause skin irritation. If your pet has allergies you may worry about their skin, too. However, this plant needs to be ingested in some manner to cause real harm. Dogs who chew on sticks or falling leaves in an animal's water can cause a problem. Often it is upset stomach, heart failure, excitability or lethargy. There is a story of a horse dying from drinking the water which had oleander leaves in it. So please be careful around this plant.

Onions & Garlic Whew ! besides the breath odor from too much garlic, the sulfur compounds in these veggies can cause gastronomical upset and harm the red blood cells. This one is sneaky because if your pet eats any food made with lots of onion or garlic, they can get ill. So watch them around the trash or leftovers. A pot roast marinated in garlic and onion, or chopped liver with garlic, can cause a bout of diarrhea and a trip to the vet!

Poinsettia I am sure your mother told you to watch your kids and pets around this one. Your pet will get an upset stomach and an mouth irritation if they eat this plant.

Note: Contact your veterinarian immediately if you think your pet has ingested any of the following plants. This does not represent a complete list of all poisonous plants. Also, your pet may have a sensitivity or allergy to a plant that is not on the list, resulting in toxicity.

How to Make Money in a Recession - 7 Easy Ideas to Make Quick Money

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

With the current recession seeming like it's never going to end (although it will eventually), many people are looking at their dwindling bank accounts and wondering where they're going to get the money to take care of basic needs. After all, life goes on and you have to eat, pay bills and keep a roof over your head. Trying to find ways to figure out how to make money in a recession when jobs are scarce can be frustrating.

Maybe you're in a situation where you need to earn money now in order to keep your lights on, make sure you can pay the rent, or buy needed items for your children. Unfortunately, this recession is affecting people from all walks of life. White collar workers are competing for low paying job openings along with blue collar workers and high school kids.

When hundreds of people show up for a single job opening, then you know things are really bad. Yet, the human spirit always finds a way to survive. While times are tough right now, the good news is that we are not in the midst of a great depression type situation. There are still lots of people who do have money to spend. It's just that most of these people are holding onto every penny they can. However, they will still spend money on things they really want.

When looking for ways to make extra money, you've got to go back to the basics. Forget about searching online for silly "get rich quick" schemes that promise they'll show you how to find easy work doing envelope stuffing, craft assembly, data entry or posting links. These are all bogus opportunities designed to steal your money.

Going back to basics means finding simple things you can do in your local community that offer real value to people. In exchange, people will be willing to pay you for your efforts. This is the fastest way to get some extra cash in your pockets.

Idea #1 - Cleaning Jobs

If you're willing to get your hands dirty and do some physical labor, then you can make some fast money. Buy some cleaning supplies, have some flyers printed up and begin offering your services around town. You can offer to wash windows, clean out garages, basements and attics, clean yards, take unwanted items to the dump, clean up empty apartments after tenants move out, wash cars and trucks, clean offices at night, etc.

Idea #2 - Odd Jobs

Lots of people have tasks they might need done, but don't want to be bothered doing themselves. If you're good at fixing things around the house, then you can offer your services as a local handyman or handywoman. You can do things like install or take out storm windows, paint rooms, fix wooden railings, replace old plumbing, install doorbells and door peep holes, paint house numbers on curbs, assemble furniture, etc.

Idea #3 - Run Errands

Many people are too busy, or too ill, to get out and about during the day to take care of basic errands. You could charge a flat hourly rate, or per job fee, for your errand service. You can pick up laundry, do grocery shopping, pick up medications from the pharmacy, drop off items to local charities, ship packages from the post office, etc. This service can be extended to local businesses as well. Just make sure you can give good references so that people know they can trust you.

Idea #4 - Teaching/Tutoring

Are you a whiz at a certain subject? If so, you can turn this into a fast money maker by offering to teach individuals who want to know what you know. If you're good a math, science, reading and writing, you can offer to tutor school children, high school kids or college age students. If you play the piano or guitar, then you can offer to teach music lessons to kids and adults. Love to cook? Offer private cooking lessons.

Idea #5 - Sell Homemade Crafts

People love to buy things that are authentically hand made. If you enjoy making craft projects, find out what types of crafts people are willing to pay for, then make those items and market them to locals. Some popular items are: jewelry, gift baskets, candy gifts, knitted clothing, ornaments, perfume, lotions and soap.

Idea #6 - Dog Walking/Pet Sitting

One thing I bet your local area has in abundance is pet dogs and cats. People love their pets and often feel guilty about leaving them home alone for long stretches of time. You can be the person who offers these pet owners a loving, professional service that makes sure their animals are well cared for during their absence. All dogs need to be walked and pets, in general, need to be fed and kept happy.

Idea #7 - Save Computers from Malware

If you're even just a little tech savvy, you can offer a service that helps people get rid of bad viruses and spyware on their computer. You'd be surprised at the number of people who don't know how to get rid of these persistent threats. Many unwittingly download bad viruses, which makes their computer either run slow, or shuts it down completely. Since it will cost them big money to replace a computer, they are desperate for someone to help fix the problem. You can make really good money getting rid of the bad stuff and installing anti virus protection on computers.

Helping Dogs Feel Confident During a Pet Portrait Session

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

When a dog takes on the "misery stance", we will see the tail between the legs, the
eyes looking away from me, and the ears down and close to the head. This usually
happens because the dog is unaware of the owner's wishes and unsure of my
intentions. It my pet photography photo sessions this can sometimes be a
challenge. When the dog looks bored or frightened or tired, these conditions make
the photo session next to impossible.

I use a low key and soft mannerism with this type of dog and my task is to make it
feel safe and happy. Before I begin photographing the pet to be seen alone or with
his the owner, we first have our "romping around time" together. I take the dog into
a fenced in area where it is free to escape for a while to eliminate if necessary, but
more important, to be free to wander around and lose some of the stress they have
when they first arrive for the photo shoot. If I am shooting several animals together,
I do this with each dog individually and deal with them individually so they are not
fearing me. I am very persistent with the animals and I treat them as if each one is
the only animal of its kind in the world. I use praise and reward to get the dog to
become confident. I always have a small bag of treats in my pocket, sometimes 2 or
3 different kinds, and I watch to see which treat the animals likes the most.

When I now bring the dog in front of my camera, I flash the strobe lights several
times while petting the dog. If his tail is not standing, the tail can be made to stand
upright by brushing my hand with the lightest touch from the base of the tail to the
tip using a fast flicking motion. This works very well with cats too. Eventually, the
dog likes this and the tail will stay up. If I am working outdoors, I have also run with
dogs while on a lead and given the lead a quick tug. Since the tail adds balance to
the dog's movement, it will raise its tail when there is a jerk to the lead. The best
way to keep the tail up is by making the dog happy.

Most dogs are very clever and are seldom depressed. I ask the owner if the dog
knows how to respond to obedience commands and I reward the dog when it
comes, sits for me, and especially when it stays until released. I also verbally praise
the dog countless times (persistent positive reinforcement) until we become friends.
The dog no longer fears the photo session and now understands that this get-
together is all about him. By me being persistent, by returning the dog to the
targeted spot where my lighting will be optimal, and by constantly praising and
rewarding the dog when I get really good takes, I finally have the dog feeling
confident that the camera work will not harm him and that he is very special and
doing a good job. Everyone wants to know that they are doing a good job. Animals
are no different. They want to please us. I cannot shoot until the pet begins to feel
comfortable and happy. The ears and the tail go up when I squeak the squeaker that
is always near my camera. Sometimes the tongue comes out and I now feel that the
dog is ready to begin his portrait session. He is no longer unsure about the owner's
wishes or my intentions.
He is feeling confident! I can now create a custom pet portrait that shows the dog's
personality. If the owner is to be seen with the animal, I ask the owner to maintain a
smile or pleased look continuously because animals never stay still. Capturing
wonderful moments takes control. With the owner looking good for a continued
amount of time, I can now work the animal towards a great gesture, a smile or a tilt
of the head, and big open eyes that reveals the soul of the animal!

A Natural Approach to Addison's Disease

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

There are no alternatives to hormone replacement therapy for Addison's disease. Untreated that is nearly always fatal. With hormone replacement therapy, however, a person with Addison's disease can expect to live a normal life span.

Standard hormone replacement for Addison's disease, however, fails to support the body's production of normal levels of the hormone testosterone, which is essential for sex drive in both men and women and for other aspects of quality of life.

The New England Journal of Medicine reports a double-blind study of 24 women with Addison's disease who were given either 50 milligrams of DHEA or a placebo every day for 4 months. Every woman in the study was DHEA-deficient at the beginning of treatment. The researchers found that taking DHEA reduced anxiety and depression and heightened overall sense of well-being in the treated women. DHEA also restored normal sex drive.

Experts in treating adrenocortical insufficiency speculate that DHEA can also restore sex drive in men with Addison's disease, but this idea has not been subjected to clinical testing. An editorial in the New England Journal of Medicine suggests that men with Addison's disease can probably benefit from taking DHEA on an ongoing basis.

Women who take DHEA should get regular breast exams, and men who take DHEA should get regular prostate exams. About half of people who take DHEA for Addison's disease will notice slightly oilier skin and hair and increased growth of hair-detrimental only to those wearing hair weaves or extensions or who are averse to getting haircuts.

How do you cope with Addison's disease?

Know how to recognize an Addisonian crisis. Symptoms include:
o Sudden penetrating pain in the lower back, abdomen, or legs;
o Severe vomiting and diarrhea;
o Low blood pressure;
o Loss of consciousness;
o Pale skin;
o Excessive sweating.

These symptoms require immediate medical treatment. They are treated with an emergency injection of cortisol and IVs of saline and glucose.

If you have Addison's disease, you should carry identification alerting emergency medical personnel to the need to inject 100 milligrams of cortisol if you are found injured or unconscious. Carry a syringe and cortisol with you at all times.

To avoid a "crash and burn" crisis:

o Alternate active periods with rest;
o Avoid strenuous physical activity in hot, humid weather;
o Don't be afraid to eat salty foods, especially when you sweat a lot;
o Don't skip meals;
o Make sure you drink plenty of fluids.

Avoid resveratrol. Animal studies suggest resveratrol may interfere with the production of adrenal hormones.

Safe Cat Toys

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Unless you want to make an unscheduled trip to the vet, you always want to check out any toy you give to your favorite cat. Cats will play with just about anything, even something that might be dangerous to their health. A quick check to see if the is any potential for harm is always a good thing. It can save you some time and money too (emergency trips to the Vet are not cheap).

If you have an outdoor cat, there's no telling what they might find and drag home for future play. Semi dead animals are always popular; we get those often at our house. We have one cat in particular that is way too skilled in hunting any animal that is his size or smaller. The best one was a pretty good size snake that still had a lot of life and was very difficult to catch.

Unwatched cat doors are convenient but can present an opportunity to bring in things you don't want in your house. I can't tell you how many times I've gone into the laundry room (where our self serve cat door is located) and found a surprise. It's a good thing to keep an eye on any entry point.

Cat toys at local pet stores or other outlets can present some inherent dangers. If you have a cat toy that requires human participants, you can push the risk a little bit since you are there and observing. But if you're like us, cat toys are all over the place and are often played with unsupervised.

We usually inspect the cat toy and remove or eliminate any items that might present a problem. Even something as harmless looking as a stretch of string or yarn can be swallowed and cause serious problems for your cat. Here's a quick list of things to check out before letting your cat have at any toy.

Loose Parts - Anything that can be chewed off and swallowed is not a good thing. Especially if they made out of plastic or manmade material.

Sharp objects - Anything that has a sharp edge or point can be a real problem. Metals of any kind should always be checked.

Poisonous materials - Depending on where the item was manufactured (recent China issues come to mind), they might have used materials that are poisonous. Always check the manufacturing source or country of origin.

Laser lights - These have become very popular and most cats love to chase the light. But you should always be careful not to shine the light directly into your cat's eyes (or humans either).

Many cat toys have some type of moving material to make it more attractive and fun for the cat. But as these toys start to exhibit wear and tear, it's a good idea to take them out of action. When we see one that is starting to unravel or fall apart, in the trash it goes. Better safe than sorry with worn out toys.

It's always a good idea to go look at what your cat is playing with if you haven't provided the toy. One or ours loves to grab key rings off the counter or dining room table. I can't tell you how many times we had to go search for someone's keys for about an hour. And this little devil loves to slap the keys so they go under a piece of furniture to make it more fun.

Most cat toys are pretty safe, especially if there is a supervisor. But one 0 trip to the Vet will make you a believer in checking the safety of any cat toy. I like my Vet, but I don't need to put his kids through college. So the best path is to eliminate any possible dangers before they become an issue.

The Benefits of Organic Baby Clothes

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Today's parents are more concerned about the world and their children's health than any generation ever before. More parents are taking immediate precautions for the health of their children and are choosing to only buy organic baby clothes. The recent growing trend is to reject any product that has been made with conventional cotton and synthetic materials. Now parents have become aware of the hazards chemicals and pesticides will have on both nature and humans.

Industrialization of Clothing Manufacturing

Over the last few centuries, companies had to come up with ways to mass produce clothing to meet the increasing demands for ready-made clothing. Using mass production methods in the industrialization of clothing manufacturing means a cotton t-shirt is no longer just a cotton t-shirt. Now it is an article of clothing that was been processed using pesticides, chemicals, flame retardants, ammonia, metals, formaldehyde, artificial dyes, and softeners.

New Choices

Today's parents are avoiding any processed clothing and choose to buy only organic products. Organic means that the products do not contain any artificial agents, pesticides or chemicals. The process of making organic clothing does not begin with its manufacturing alone; it actually begins with how the cotton has been grown. The average t-shirt is made up of cotton that has been grown using harmful pesticides and chemicals. Organic clothing is grown free of pesticides and chemicals. Even the manure that is used for organic cotton is free from chemicals and pesticides. The techniques for green farming are the biggest reason why modern parents are now using only organic clothes for their children.

Materials for Organic Baby Clothes

Besides organic cotton, there are also other materials which are being used in the making of organic baby clothes. Included in these materials are organic bamboo fabric, and organic wool, which is necessary for winter clothing and blankets for babies. Each type of organic material will have its own individual feel and texture, giving you a wide variety of choices for your baby.

Clothing which is made using organic bamboo has been gaining the interest of parents who only want to use products that are environmental friendly. The bamboo plant will actually renew itself every few years. This allows the bamboo to be harvested in a controlled manner which will not do any ecological damage. Clothing that is made out of bamboo is more durable because of the strength of the bamboo fibers. Bamboo fabric also is as soft as silk. This makes clothing made from bamboo a strong contender against the organic cotton products.

Animals which are raised for organic wool are only fed organic food and grain. There is no genetic engineering or artificial hormones used on the sheep. The wool of the animals is only washed in pure organic and biodegradable detergents.

Conventional Baby Clothes

You will be surprised when you learn about all the reasons why you should not use conventional baby clothes for your children. The main reason is the tremendous amount of pesticides which are used in the production of conventional cotton. In the US alone, farmers will use over 600,000 tons of pesticides and chemicals when growing cotton. Most people believe that these chemicals can be removed by washing the cotton during the manufacturing process. However, trace amounts of these chemicals will remain in the cotton. Organic cotton does not have this problem because the farmers will only use biological pest control on their crops.

During the manufacturing of organic baby clothes, great care is used to be sure that no unnatural chemicals or materials will come in contact with the clothing. For the coloring of organic baby clothes, no synthetic dyes are used. Other chemicals, such as formaldehyde, will never be found in organic baby clothes.

The young skin of babies is especially soft and sensitive. Babies have not yet developed an immune system to protect them like adults have. Baby clothes need to be free of allergens and other contaminates which will only irritate baby's skin. Certain skin conditions, like eczema, are directly related to the chemical residue which remains in the fabric of the baby clothing. Because organic baby clothing does not contain chemicals, the risk of skin conditions have been eliminated.

Buying Organic Baby Clothing

When you buy organic baby clothing, you are buying the best products to ensure that your child will not be in contact with any harmful chemicals. You will also be helping the environment by keeping the chemicals and pesticides used in the production of conventional clothing out of the water supplies and the food chain.

Keeping Your Rabbit Safe and Well Outside in Its Hutch

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Keeping your rabbit safe can be difficult in some areas. They are northern hemisphere creatures and don't deal well with the Australian heat. As well, there are dangers from attack from cats, dogs and foxes. They have little if no ability to sustain an attack from a larger creature. There only defense is to run and they can't do this locked in a hutch so it is up to us to keep them safe.

Hutches are the most expensive item you will need to purchase if you want a rabbit as a pet. They can be purchased from pet stores, hardware stores or you get one second hand. However, for the safety of your animal it is important that you take the following into consideration.

Second hand cages can be bought cheaply or you may see them advertised for free. They may, however, have bacteria living inside that could harm your pet. If you do take one, make sure you scrub it out as described earlier with vinegar and hot water and leave it in the sun. The UV light from the sun will kill most bacterium.

Ask the previous owner what happened to their pet and if it died 'all of a sudden' don't take the cage. Rabbits, like birds, will hide an illness and do appear to die out of the blue but they could have harbored diseases for sometime which may still be living inside the cage.

Cage wire should not be made of cheap materials as dogs, cats and foxes can rip through it. There is a range of 'dog proof' wire available for use in making rabbit cages. Make sure that the holes are not too large. I know a cat that pulled a small rabbit through the holes in the cage, so keep that in mind too.

Wood should not be treated as most treatments contain poison and as rabbits like to gnaw on things, they can become sick. If your rabbit appears to be nibbling on the wood of its cage, purchase some nibble or salt blocks from your local pet store. If you have access to fruit trees, the wood of the tree will have the taste of the fruit and your pet will enjoy gnawing on that instead of its cage.

Rabbits cannot regulate their body temperature and can die from over heating or extreme cold in just hours.

In the warmer months, freeze water in bottles and wrap them in towels and leave in the hutch. Your pet will lie against them to keep cool. Also, cover the hutch with old sheets and wet down thoroughly. We collect rainwater in buckets to do this, saving money on water costs too. Air will circulate around the wet sheet providing much need cooling for your pet.

Provide extra water containers in summer too. There are water bottles available that hold a lot of water and can't be tipped over that fix to the side of the cage. Be careful as the openings are often made of metal which will heat up so much the animal will not drink from them. The bottles can also become quite hot and the water distasteful. I have heard many stories of animals that have died in the heat when their water bottles have remained full for these very reasons. In very hot conditions, make sure you change the water three times a day.

In the cooler months, make sure your pet has sufficient hay in its sleeping area to keep warm. The ground can be freezing in some areas and your pet may not be able to sustain its body temperature long enough to survive a cold night. If the animal's sleeping area is not off the ground, make sure that there is enough hay or bedding provided so they are not in direct contact with the cold ground.

Create an Avatar Free - Make a Cartoon Character of Yourself

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Nowadays, being anonymous behind the computer is becoming the lesser preference as many people are more daring in letting their individuality show, whether through the use of real pictures or avatars. What's the Difference Between 2D and 3D Anyway?

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Isn't it obvious? Well, apparently not quite, when you consider how many people are still struggling with this topic!

The first concept you must grasp is that 3D means 3 dimensional and 2D means 2 dimensional. Now before you think I'm stating the obvious, let me go on to say that the 3D and 2D in animation refer to the dimension in which the animation was created. Ahhhh. The plot thickens eh?

For 2D animation, everything happens on a 2 dimensional platform. Pictures are flat, without depth and offer only one perspective. Objects and characters are usually drawn without the subtle soft shadows we see in real life and colours have few varying shades. In 3D animation, everything happens on a 3 dimensional platform. Pictures have depth and offer multiple perspectives just like in real life and have soft subtle shadows casted on the objects and characters within.

In 2D, characters look cartoonish and unrealisitc. In 3D, characters can look cartoonish but realistic at the same time.

Another way to think of this is to think in terms of a painting and a sculpture. 2D is a painting, and 3D is a sculpture. 3D introduces "depth perspective," so we not only see a rectangle (2D) but a CUBE (3D). You may also want to think of it like being the difference between a photograph of a glass of water (2D) and being able to reach out and actually pick up the glass of water (3D).

Typically, 2D involves "drawing," or movement on, say, a flat surface (sketch pad, etc.) or in the vertical and horizontal planes. 3D involves "modeling," i.e., creating objects in 3-dimensions using a computer software, residing in an expansive virtual environment, complete with lights, reflections, other objects, shadows, etc.

You could start training yourself by comparing a cartoon like Bugs Bunny, Aladdin, Lion King (2D) to "Toy Story 1,2 & 3, "Finding Nemo" and "Incredibles" (3D). If you have not watched any of these great cartoons, you should grab one right away or be branded a neantherdal forever!

A Review of the Papo Styracosaurus Model

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

The Year of the Horned Dinosaurs

If 2011 is officially the year of the rabbit according the Chinese lunar calendar, then the Ceratopsids could put in a claim for 2010 thanks to the large number of new horned dinosaur species that were named and described over that twelve month period. Horned dinosaurs have been hitting the headlines with new fossil sites being discovered in China, Canada and the western United States. Recently, there was even the announcement of a possible semi-aquatic horned dinosaur species from Cretaceous aged strata in South Korea. In 2010, the designers and artists at Papo, the French based model and figure manufacturer, were finalising their plans to introduce a new horned dinosaur into their dinosaur and prehistoric animal model range. Now we have the chance to see what they have achieved, a beautiful model of the Late Cretaceous Centrosaurine Styracosaurus.

Styracosaurus - The Fossil Database

Named by the famous Canadian palaeontologist and scientist Lawrence Lambe in 1913, there have been many hundreds of partial skeletons of Styracosaurus discovered. The fossils have been found in Alberta (Canada) to as far south as Montana (USA). Thousands of individual fossil bones have been ascribed to this genus. It seems that this large herbivore lived in herds and migrated across rivers following seasonal rains just as African gnu do today. Just like the gnu, sometimes animals were drowned crossing the rivers and as a result scientists have uncovered large bonebed deposits with the remains of many individuals preserved together. The most striking feature about Styracosaurus is its huge frill of horn that arose out of the back of its head. The frill was edged with formidable spikes, an impressive array of defensive horns, some of which were over half a metre long. If this was not enough to deter any would be predator such as a Tyrannosaur, Styracosaurus also sported a large nose horn.

A number of species have been ascribed to the Styracosaurus genus, at least three; with other fossil material awaiting further classification and analysis. Ironically, only one near complete skull and neck frill is known, and it is from this specimen that Lambe made his formal scientific description in 1913.

The Papo Styracosaurus Model

The Papo model makers have produced a very interesting and accurate model of this horned dinosaur, with only a couple of minor blemishes. The paint job is very credit worthy with a tremendous amount of work having gone into the detail shown on the frill and the snout. The powerful beak and thick tongue are well proportioned, even though we have to admit that there is no direct evidence regarding the shape of the tongue in the fossil record. The animal is posed with its magnificent head held high and its neck frill tilted back slightly over its neck and shoulders. It seems to be in the middle of roaring and the figure looks very animated, looking very good when compared to other scale models of horned dinosaurs from other manufacturers. The model is painted in a delightful pink, a very unusual colour choice but one that works and contrasts well with the Triceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus dinosaur models already in the Papo range.

The body is squat and the tail quite stumpy and thick. Whether the tail really was that thick is open to debate as no mummified, preserved skin impressions or flesh of a Styracosaurus has ever been recorded, in contrast to their contemporaries the Hadrosaurs. The shape of the left hind foot is a little indistinct and it is difficult to make out all the toes on this particular limb, but apart from these minor points the Styracosaurus represents the manufacturer model makers art at the highest level.

So pleasing to see a new horned dinosaur model being introduced, such a refreshing change from the constant stream of Triceratops replicas and the choice of the pink colouration is inspired.

Doing a Pet Insurance Comparison

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Of course you want to properly care for your pet. However, when it comes to providing proper health care for your pet, costs can be so high that it becomes difficult to afford. There is nothing worse than having to decide whether a life saving surgery or treatment to save your pet is within your budget or not. Luckily, there are pet health insurance plans available. More and more companies are now offering health insurance for the animals you love and the increased competition has actually helped to bring costs down. In order to pick the plan that is right for you, doing a pet insurance comparison is necessary. Here's what to look for when you do.

1) Animal type. As the number of companies offering animal insurance has increased, the types of policies available has as well. Now days, there are plans that are very specific to the type of animal you own. When doing a pet insurance comparison, make sure to look at how specific the plans are to treatments and medications that are common for the animal type. For example, dogs commonly need heartworm treatment and rabbits often have pregnancy difficulties. One plan may offer much lower out of pocket costs to you for certain procedures. Make sure that when you are comparing plans, you look at the specifics of the coverage.

2) Age of your pet. Believe it or not, there are plans designed specifically for younger animals and some designed for older ones. Because the common procedures needed for different aged animals differ, choose the plan that best caters to your pet's age category when comparing pet insurance plans.

3) System. Some pet plans require you to pay out of pocket at the time your pet has a vet visit and then send in a form to receive reimbursement. Others work just like traditional health insurance for humans - you pay a co-pay amount at the vet and then you're done. Obviously, the second way is much easier and convenient. Make sure to take the system into consideration when doing a comparison.

Names for Pets

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Pets of all kinds make wonderful companions. It gives the pet owner immense pleasure to watch his pet frolic and have fun. Studies have shown that, pets can provide their owners with a lot of health benefits. Once you own a pet, there lies the tough task of naming it. Animals usually respond well to one or two syllable names. Don't choose lengthy names, the name must be easy to call out. If you own a dog, avoid names that sound similar to commands like "no," "stay," "sit," or "fetch," as the animal might get confused between similar sounding words.

You can name your pet based on its breed. For a German Shepard, you can hunt for a good German name, while a Poodle can be given a French name. Another way of naming it would be to watch its activities for a week. If it turns out to be energetic and playful you could probably call it Frisky or Bubbly.

Choose names that have some meaning, also don't go in for the clichéd ones like Kitty and Doggy. Some of popular names for pets include Max, Buddy, Misty, Lucky, Buster, Charlie, Whiskers, Fluffy, Rusty and Sandy. Max is a name that can be given to any pet. It means large spring. A pet that is grey in color can be called Smokey, while a pet that is brown in color can be called Rusty. A pet that constantly breaks your things can be called Buster, if you have a good sense of humor. A girl once named a rabbit "Don Juan" after he ate a copy of that book on his first night in the house.

You can also draw inspiration from cartoons and comic books to name your pet. Owning a pet that is pure white in color is really wonderful. You could name it "Snowy" like the one in the Tintin series. If you feel your pet is worth a million dollars you could probably name him what Riche Rich named his dog, "Dollar."

Sketchup and Online Landscape Design - Creating a 3D Landscape

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Sketchup is 3D design software that is used for many different industries.

However, for the hard to visualize area of landscape design, it can provide one of the best portrayals of the 3D landscape.

Sketchup was originally owned by @Last Software, but it was bought by Google. Hmmm....I guess Google thought it was pretty good. And it is.

There is a free version and a paid version. For the average person, the free version is fine. If you want to get more intricate with such things as grading and showing different elevations, then you will want the paid version.

For residential design, you can use this program in a couple of different ways.

The first way is to design right in the program. With a click of the mouse, you can set the drawing in a perspective position. Guidelines help you make sure you are drawing correctly. You can enter actual heights and lengths of objects, such as a house. You can put in the dimensions of the house, ie., length and width. Then use something called the pull tool to extend it up to the correct height.

It is all very user friendly. Also, what is created has an artistic flair to it, which makes it a lot of fun!

You can also view different materials for landscape elements. For example, if you are drawing a patio, you can go to the Materials area and choose what you might like. There are many different materials and you can change them as you like to see the differences. Some choices are stone, pavers, brick and concrete.

A plant palette is offered also. These are fine. However, for a more sophisticated look, there are other inexpensive components you can buy to use in your design.

The second way of using Sketchup is to create a 2D drawing in such programs as AutoCad, and import it into Sketchup. In this situation, you are working from your drawing so that an exact replica of the design is created. This allows you to see what a drawing will look like when built. Changes are easily made if there is something you don't like or want to add.

Some of the components you can add to the 3D landscape design are people, cars, grills, pergolas, plants, any many, many more. These are available directly through the program or through something called Google Warehouse. They are all free.

There is a lot of flexibility with the components. You can resize or rescale them if you need to. You can also change colors of both components and materials.

By adding window components to a house, you can actually position a person inside the house. This allows you to attain a view as if you were inside looking out. What a great feature to see what your view will be like.

You can also create scenes. Scenes let you save a particular view. These scenes can also be exported into jpeg images. You can also create an animation which is a fly by or walk through of the entire design!

Any or all of these features can be used to suit your purposes. The software can be used in both simple and sophisticated ways. There are many other features available also. All in all it is a great 3D program.

Quantum Physics Astrological Timing

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

Quantum Astrology Timing

Doing the right thing at the wrong time is just as ineffectual as doing the wrong thing at the right time.

All is timing. Spiritual Quantum Physics tells us that the whole Universe is run on a Divine timing table.

The Divine time table, for our Solar System, has moved us out of the S.T.E.M. (space, time, energy, matter continuum) of the Age of Pisces. We are now entering a 2000 year period of rotation around our Galactic Sun, called the Age of Aquarius.

Our Solar System's orbit around our Galactic Sun is moving counter-clockwise through the Astrological Ages.

Each new Age brings with it gifts from the Creator God. The gifts from the Age of Aquarius are the Internet, the Laws of Spiritual Quantum Physics and the Science of Energy Astrology.

It is time to close the books on Astrology written during the Age of Pisces. They are no longer pertinent. And they have the flavor of Pisces as well as floating in an ocean of words that may not have any relevant meaning for the Age of Aquarius.

Astrology for the Age of Aquarius will be an Energy Astrology. It will be based on Energy Relationships, not high abstracting words or phrases.

Your individual Solar Chart is based on the movement of our own Earth around our Sun. It gives you an exact Astrological Divine Blueprint for your life.

Without our Sun, there would be no life on our planet. It's energies are very important to us and all living things on the planet.

Your Solar Chart's structure is a wheel divided into twelve thirty degree arcs. Each thirty degree arc is a house. " In my father's mansion there are many rooms."

Each of the houses represents a place of experience for you.

Starting with the first house, which is the first house on the horizontal line of the wheel. This is the House of your personality. I will now name the other houses and I will use only one key word to describe them.

Why? Because every word means something different to each of us.

When I say 'Personality' it has many different meanings to me then it does to you. The meaning it has to me has to do with my life experiences.

All true meanings are based on our life experiences. So I will not give you my meanings for the keywords for the houses. I will allow you to form your own 'meanings' from your own life experiences.

The new paradigm of the Laws of Spiritual Quantum Physics is about doing it yourself. No more middle man to tell you how to do it.

The doors to the secrets of the Universe are wide open for you.

The closer you follow the Divine timing blueprint of your Quantum Solar Chart, the more conscious you will become. The more conscious, the smoother will be your ride through life.

Your particular Solar chart has your Sun Sign in your first house. The other eleven follow around the wheel.

I am a Sagittarius, therefore I place Sagittarius in my first house of personality. Capricorn will be in my second house (money). Aquarius in my third house (communications.)

Pisces in my fourth house (home.) Aries in my fifth house (creativity). Taurus in my sixth house (health).

Gemini in my seventh house (relationships). Cancer in my eighth house (sex) Leo in my ninth house (wisdom).

Virgo in my tenth house (career). Libra in my eleventh house (friendships). Scorpio in my twelfth house (mysticism).

Now you do the same for yourself.

How does the timing work? Whatever sign the Sun is in NOW, is placed in the appropriate house of your Solar chart.

I am writing this article while the Sun is in Capricorn. Therefore, I place Capricorn in my second house of money.

That means for thirty days the power from the Sun will be shining in my second house of money. This is the house I will place my attention on. This house of money will be powered every year at the same time. This is my Divine Timing Blueprint. As the Sun rotates every thirty days to a different house, it powers that house.

The correct conscious way for me to live my life according to my divine blueprint, is to focus on the house that is being powered by the Sun.

Now it is money matters, not home nor relationships, nor health, etc.

They will take care of themselves and I will address them when the Sun enters their houses.

You will become aware that when the Sun powers a certain house. Why? Because people, places and events will enter your life to help and direct you in that area.

If you do not pay particular attention to the house, money house in my situation, you may miss the chance meeting, the important phone call or letter that was sent to help you.

The whole Universe is designed to work perfectly, because it follows a divine plan.

Man was given free will and with this gift we have drifted away from or forgotten that there is a Divine Timing Law guiding us.

Farmers know this when they planted and reaped. Animals know this when they migrate. Bears know when it is time to hibernate and when to wake up.

How is it that they know the secrets of Divine timing and we don't? They don't have the freedom of free will to make mistakes with.

Well, start working on the Divine Timing of your own Spiritual Quantum Solar Chart and your secret for being as well as the secrets of the world will be opened up to you.

It is our gift of Spiritual Quantum Physics from the Creator God. The gift of "I Know!"

The History of 3D Technology

,
MAKE A 3D ANIMATION :

3D technology can be traced all the way back to the beginning of photography. In 1844 David Brewster invented the Stereoscope. It was a new invention that could take photographic images in 3D. Later, Louis Jules Duboscq took that invention and improved on it. Louis took a picture of Queen Victoria using the improved technology and displayed it at the Great Exhibition in 1851. This picture became very well known throughout the world. Steroscopic cameras started to catch on and became fairly common for personal use by World War II.

In 1855 the Kinematascope, a stereo animation camera, was invented. It was able to create 3d motion pictures. In 1915 the first anaglyph movie was produced. Anaglyph technology used 3d glasses with 2 different color lenses that would direct an image to each eye. In 1890 William Friese-Greene, a British film pioneer, filed a patent for the 3D movie process. In 1922 the first public 3D movie, "The Power of Love", was displayed. In 1935 the first 3D Color movie was produced. The use of the technology would remain dormant for over a decade.

In the 1950s, 3D technology made a come back. During this era, TVs had become extremely popular and had started appearing in many households. In the 50s a number of 3D movies were being produced. In 1952 "Bwana Devil" by United Artists was shown across the United States. This was the first 3D movie of the 50s. The film was shot using a process called Natural Vision. This process was pitched to Hollywood studios but they all passed. A year later, in 1953, "House of Wax" was released in 3D. "Dial M for Murder" was originally planned to be released in 3D, but Alfred Hitchcock decided to release the movie in 2D to maximize profits. Not all movie theaters were equipped with the 3D technology. 3D films were also being developed outside of the United States. In 1947 The Soviet Union released their first full length 3D movie, "Robinson Crusoe".

In the 1960s a new technology called Space-Vision 3D was released. This technology took two images and printed them over each other on a single strip. Unlike previous 3D technologies, it required a single projector with a special lens. This new technology removed the need to use two cameras to display 3D movies. Two camera systems were difficult to use, because it required that the two cameras were perfectly synced. The first movie to use this technology was "The Bubble". The movie was panned by critics, but the 3D experience still brought huge audiences. It became a profitable movie, making the new technology ready for promotion to other studios.

In 1970, Allan Silliphant and Chris Condon developed Stereovision. This was a new 3D technology that put two images squeezed together side by side on a single strip of 35 mm film. This technology used a special anamorphic lens that would widen the picture using a series of polaroid filters. The first movie to be released in Stereovision was a softcore sex comedy called "The Stewardesses". The movie cost only 0,000 USD to make and it earned an amazing million in North America.

In the early 1980s many movies were released in 3D using the same process as Space Vision. Some of the movies that were released were Amityville 3-D, Friday the 13th Part III, and Jaws 3-D. In the mid 1980s, IMAX began producing documentary films in 3D. IMAx's 3D technology emphasized mathmatical correctness and this eliminated the eye fatigue that was seen in previous 3D technologies. In 1986, Canada had developed the first 3D movie that used polarized glasses. It was called "Echos of the Sun" and was created for Expo 86.

During the 1990s, many films were released in IMAX 3D. The most successful IMAX 3D film released during this time was "Into the Deep". The first IMAX 3D fiction film, "Wings of Courage" was released in 1996.

During the 2000s, many big studio movies were released in 3D. In 2003, James Cameron released Ghosts of the Abyss. This was the first full length 3D IMAX feature film. This movie used the latest IMAX 3D technology called Reality Camera System. The technology used the latest HD video cameras and was developed by Vince Pace. This same technology was used in "Spy Kids 3D: Game over", "Aliens of the Deep", and "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D". In 2004 the first full length animated 3D movie was released. It was called "The Polar Express". This movie was so successful in 3D that it prompted a great interest in 3D animated films. The 3D version of the film earned 14x as much per screen as the 2D version. In 2005, The Mann's Chinese 6 theater in Hollywood became the first commercial movie theater to have the Digital 3D technology. In 2007 Scar 3D was released internationally and it was the first film to be filmed using a completely digital workflow.

In 2010 Sky UK made a big push towards 3D television. On January 1st, the first 3D channel began broadcasting in South Korea. The channel displays educational shows, animated shows, sporting events, documentaries and musical performances all in 3D, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We should expect that the use of 3D technology will continue and expand in to the normal household. Most major electronics manufacturers are planning the release of their 3D television lines. As the technology ages, expect prices to go lower and lower, and as they prices drop, more and more people will purchase 3D television sets.
